Routes around Spain: Málaga Michael B. Barry

Author and historian Michael B. Barry will launch his new book Málaga. A Souvenir and Guide. This time, Barry brings us a visual guide of the city of Málaga, in which he includes an account of the city’s history and other interesting details for the traveler. The book will attract both, new visitors and those returning wishing to explore its history and hidden new places in the city.

Author and historian Michael B. Barry graduated in engineering at Trinity College Dublin. With a strong interest in history and heritage, Michael has written many books including Victorian Dublin Revealed, The Green Divide, an Illustrated History of the Irish Civil War and Courage Boys, We are Winning, an Illustrated History of the 1916 Rising.  He has particular knowledge of Spain and its history. His recent books on this topic include Homage to Al-Andalus, the Rise and Fall of Islamic Spain and The Alhambra Revealed, the Remarkable Story of the Kingdom of Granada.

Antonio de Linares Rosado was born in Málaga and graduated in Law at Granada University. Having spent almost a decade working as a journalist, he moved to Ireland. After completing an MA in Media Studies at Dublin Institute of Technology, he changed his career path and began working in the promotion of Irish higher education internationally. He currently works as Regional Officer in the Global Relations Office at Trinity College Dublin.
